Commercial concrete work often affects active traffic, employees, customers, deliveries or facility operations. A successful scope accounts for those constraints in addition to the concrete itself.
Document the operational requirements
Identify working hours, delivery windows, emergency routes, pedestrian access and areas that must remain open. Loading docks, service-bay pits, ramps, pads and replacement sections may require different phasing and protection plans.
Gather drawings and site information
Share civil, structural or equipment drawings, utility information, specified concrete requirements and known site restrictions. For service pits or structural work, dimensions and equipment clearances need to come from approved plans.
Define responsibilities and sequencing
The estimate should clarify demolition, hauling, excavation, base preparation, reinforcement, placement, testing, inspections, curing protection and reopening. FormScope can coordinate site preparation for our concrete scope on commercial projects, but does not operate as a mass-grading or land-development contractor.
